ST GEORGE ISLAND: THROUGH THE FOREST

Description:

A full-day ride that captures everything great about North Florida. Start in Tallahassee and head southwest through the Apalachicola National Forest, enjoying miles of pine-lined roads before the landscape opens to salt marsh and coastal breeze. Cross the long Bryant Patton Bridge onto St. George Island—a perfect stop for lunch, photos, or a quick walk on the beach before looping back through Sopchoppy and Medart.

Description:

A relaxed coastal cruise that highlights North Florida’s natural beauty. Depart Tallahassee and head south through Woodville Highway, tracing the marshlands toward St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge. Description:

This long coastal ride is a local favorite for good reason. Head south from Tallahassee and trace Highway 98 through Panacea, Carrabelle, and along the untouched stretches of Florida’s Forgotten Coast. Stop in Carrabelle for a quick museum visit or continue to Lanark Village before looping back through Wakulla County’s quiet inland roads.

Description:

This alternate route adds a laid-back lakeside stop before the country store. Start your ride toward Lake Jackson Fish Camp, where you can grab a drink and take in the view before heading north along shaded Centerville and Moccasin Gap Roads. End at Bradley’s Country Store for lunch—or flip it and finish back at the lake via Thomasville Road for an easy loop home.
